Designed for local data

SCANPASS is designed as an offline-first utility. Scan history, saved records, and archive data are intended to remain on the device rather than being sent to a SCANPASS cloud database.

Camera and images

The Android application may request camera access to scan QR codes. Image access may be requested when you choose a QR image or file. These permissions are used to perform the action you request.

Local transfers

If you use device-to-device transfer, SCANPASS may communicate over your local network to move the selected file. This is a local networking feature, not a permanent cloud upload.

No account required

The intended SCANPASS experience does not require a SCANPASS account for ordinary scanning and local archiving.

Website

This landing page can be deployed as a static website. Hosting providers may independently process technical information such as IP addresses or request logs according to their own privacy policies.
