SCANPASS reads information encoded by QR creators. It does not certify that a decoded URL, message, payment destination, contact, Wi-Fi configuration, or other payload is legitimate.

Safe preview

Previewing a payload is not a security guarantee. Use ordinary caution before opening links, entering credentials, downloading files, connecting to networks, or acting on information received through a QR code.

Printing

Printed records are copies of information available in SCANPASS at the time of printing. A printed record can become outdated or be lost.

Local transfer

Device-to-device transfer is intended for controlled local use. Confirm the recipient and file before accepting a transfer.
